Hey everyone, I just picked up Pulse yesterday from Wal-Mart and I have been playing it non-stop. Haha, it is honestly so good, and I like the album as a whole but I REALLY like the songs "Woman", "Why Won't You Love Me", "Pulse", "Lookin At Me" and "Hands Tied" the best. I mean, it really good, but those are just my faves. I like the whole feel and just story of the whole album. I think Toni lets you into her heart a little bit, and I'm not trying to be in her business or anything, but I kinda feel like she lets us as her fans learn a lot about what happened between her and the break up between her and Keri. You can tell there still really good friends, but when I hear "Woman" and "Why Won't You Love Me" I just feel like I'm listening to a diary entry and I'm not supposed to, but I can't turn it off, the songs are so beautiful. My only qualm with the album is I wish there were a few more songs, and I wish "Don't Leave" "Ring too Heavy" and "Rewind" were on there, but it's all good, if she has a deluxe physical edition I can get at Best Buy or Wal-Mart, I'll be more than happy. I love how ballad heavy the album is 'cause that's Toni at her best, but then she does REALLy good adding some zing with the dance tracks of "Make My Heart" and "Lookin At Me". I wasn't really a fan of "Make My Heart" at first, but I like how its in there to break up the ballads which are beautiful, but you wanna groove to, and not just listen to some truly pretty songs.
Anywho, I told you what I like about the album, what songs do ya'll like or dislike or just LOVE! There's not a single song I don't like and I listen to the album from start to finish. It's like Libra but even better. Like a Mix betwenn Libra and Secrets. I feel like Toni is letting us know some of her secrets with this amazing and intimate album.
