I, Bev, was diagnosed with Lupus March 2010. My cousin Mo and grandmother Kate have had it for over 20 years, but I truly knew nothing about it or what they were going thru (my cousin is 10 yrs older & lived in TX & my gma never elaborated on the disease to me). My friend created this logo for me and my family to promote awareness of Lupus because even though my 2 family members had it for decades I did not know what it was or what to look for until I got back to back really bad ear infections & then a butterfly rash on my face. I know I had it for many more years (due to painful joint problems & really low immune system making me sick so many times during the years) but doctors didn't know to test me since I really had no clue of the signs I was showing plus never knew it is known to be hereditary.
